  • U.S. court rules in favour of Biotec Pharmacon ASA

    Biotec Pharmacon reports that Biothera has been denied permission to file a motion to reconsider the U.S District Court Order of 28 January, 2009, which largely ruled in Biotec Pharmacon's favour in a patent infringement suit. The Court's decision confirms that all of Biothera's claims under 12 of 14 U.S. patents at issue have been dismissed from the case without even requiring a trial.

  • Algeta completes comprehensive clinical program

    Algeta ASA has now completed its comprehensive phase II clinical program evaluating Alpharadin (radium-223) as a new treatment for bone metastases in patients with hormone-refractory prostate cancer (HRPC). The program provides strong evidence that Alpharadin can prolong patient survival times, improve quality of life and offers a placebo-like safety profile.

  • - Forskningsrådets forslag trenger justeringer

      Norsk Biotekforum (NBA) har kritiske kommentarer til Norges forskningsråds nye forslag til fordeling av rettigheter til resultater fra prosjekter. NBA beklager blant annet at bioteknologibedriftene ikke har vært med i utvalget som utarbeidet forslaget, til tross for at bransjen er sterkt berørt av Forskningsrådets politikk på området.
