  • EMEA recommends application from Clavis Pharma

    The European Medicines Agency (EMEA) has recommended orphan drug designation to Intravenous CP-4126 for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. Clavis Pharma is currently conducting a Phase II study with Intravenous CP-4126 in patients with pancreatic cancer.

  • Algeta signs $800 million agreement with Bayer

    Algeta ASA has entered into a global agreement with Bayer for the development and commercialization of Algeta's first in class alpha-pharmaceutical, Alpharadin. Alpharadin is currently being evaluated in a global phase III trial in men with hormone-refractory prostate cancer (HRPC) that has spread to the bone.

  • BMI granted Incubator Status

    Innovation Norway has granted Bio-Medisinsk Innovasjon AS (BMI) Incubator Status. As a result of this, the companies and early commercial projects associated with BMI have access to a larger selection of supportive grants in early stage of company development. ”This is an important addition to our existing solutions for bringing new drugs, diagnostics and medical technology faster to the patients", says Ingrid Alfheim, CEO of BMI.

  • U.S. court rules in favour of Biotec Pharmacon ASA

    Biotec Pharmacon reports that Biothera has been denied permission to file a motion to reconsider the U.S District Court Order of 28 January, 2009, which largely ruled in Biotec Pharmacon's favour in a patent infringement suit. The Court's decision confirms that all of Biothera's claims under 12 of 14 U.S. patents at issue have been dismissed from the case without even requiring a trial.
