  • Targovax henter inn 13 millioner fra private investorer


     Targovax er sikret støtte på nær 13 millioner kroner fra Radiumhospitalets Forskningsstiftelse, Birk Venture og RO Invest. Midlene skal brukes til å utvikle en vaksine mot en alvorlig kreftform som rammer bukspytt-kjertelen. -- Vi har nå sikret finansiering som gjør oss i stand til å levere en søknad om kliniske studier, samt produsere legemiddelet TG01 etter krevende farmasøytiske standarder, sier Hanne Mette D.   • Alpharadin improves survival for patients with prostate cancer


    Algeta ASA has announced results from the phase III ALSYMPCA study with the investigational agent Alpharadin (radium-223 chloride). The study met its primary endpoint by significantly improving survival by 44% in patients with castration-resistant (hormone-refractory) prostate cancer and symptomatic (painful) bone metastases.

  • PCI Biotech vant DnB NORs millionpris og Folkets pris


     PCI Biotech ble den store vinneren i DnB NORs innovasjonspris' nasjonale finale i Oslo i september. Bedriften har, i samarbeid med Radiumhospitalet, utviklet og patentert en metode som muliggjør lokal behandling av kreftsvulster og kan forsterke effekten av cellegift opp mot hundre ganger.     Biotec Pharmacon har published interim results for the first quarter 2011. The company has grown strongly, with sales revenue up 67% from Q1 2010. A grant of NOK 7.2 million from the Research Council of Norway for development of marine enzymes will increase the research and development capacity and strengthen the product pipeline.
