     Abelia og Norsk Biotekforum (NBA) støtter arbeidet med å få på plass en norsk node i Elixir og ber Forskningsrådet legge til rette for et møte for å orientere om planene, fremgår det av et brev til Norges forskningsråd. Elixir er den europeiske life science-infrastrukturen for biologisk informasjon.

  • Norwegian Biotech meets Brussels Decision-Makers

    Bionor CEO Birger Sørensen (picture) and other representatives from the Norwegian Biotech Industry took part in a series of meetings with EU decision makers on Brussels Day in the beginning of December. The representatives also had productive meetings with representatives from the Norwegian governments' advisors in Brussels.

  • Norsk bioteknologi-forskning bør satse mer på innovasjon

     Norges forskningsråd bruker for tiden ca 600 mill.kr. pr år på bioteknologi, hvorav 175 mill. til programmet FUGE (FUnksjonell GEnomforskning). Norsk Biotekforum (NBA) mener det er viktig at Forskningsrådet opprettholder minst det samme bevilgningsnivået også etter 2011, heter det i et brev til Forskningsrådet. Utfordringen fremover vil være å få mer kommersialiserbar innovasjon ut av midlene.

  • Photocure granted patent in Europe and Russia for Visonac

    Both the European Patent Office and the Patent Office in Russia have issued decisions to grant a patent on Photocure's patent application "PDT Acne". The granted patents will provide protection for the use of Photocure's ingredients in the treatment of acne until November 2025.

  • Milliardavtale til Clavis Pharma

     Det norske legemiddelselskapet Clavis Pharma har inngått sin største avtale noensinne. Det amerikanske legemiddelselskapet Clovis Oncology tar sikte på å betale til sammen 2,3 milliarder kroner for utvikling og kommersialisering av det lovende legemiddelet CP-4126.
